"Love or check-mate"
Make that first move!
I'm so afraid.
No more a pawn
will I be made.
This knight's no more,
those days are old;
saving the day
so strong, so bold!
What should I do
dear Lord, I pray?
Follow my heart
you seem to say.
My heart's castle,
still in repair;
opening up,
a mighty dare.
She is a queen,
beauty so true!
Once in the heart,
what will she do?
Not pawn, not knight,
finally a king;
make that first move!
What could that bring?
What if there's check?!
I hesitate.
Still I must move,
love or check-mate.
