How Bright Her Beauty Shines
How bright her beauty shines upon my soul
When come her rays of light into my heart
And how the shadows flee when she is near
Each vestige of the darkness doth depart
In visions of delight, fair as the sun
When she is near, the joy springs full and free
I am at peace, encircled by her love
She is my brightest hope and destiny
With eyes of china blue, how fair her grace
If I should go one day without her near
Then shadows would surround me like a shroud
And all the night should smother me in fear
That golden hair flows freely and with grace
In curling tresses falling sweetly down
I take her in my arms and all is light
The stars I bring from heaven for her crown
Oh, joy, that I should be forever hers
And wander through this world, so wondrous fair
To live within her warm and pure embrace
That is my one and only fervent prayer
