The Harpist Of The Sun
He sang his woe, his harp spun out his pain
With songs of darkness, limned in phrases grand
The melodies would make the strongest weep
In words of shadow none could ere withstand
The winds would swirl around him as he played
Each note precise and piercing as the grief
Surrounded him in harmonies so sweet
Each flowed into the night without relief
Then love did come and shone so brightly pure
That all his trials faded, swift, complete
And with her spirit fair, she won his heart
Thus made his songs to shine with joy replete
This Harpist of the Sun, did play his soul
Into each word and note, that none could bear
To dream of worlds without so true and bright
A vision clear, which only he could share
So love had entered in and with it peace
Devouring his shadows, spreading light
And joyous sprang his song imbued with hope
Forever now they dwell in pure delight
