The Angels Sonata
In misery, I walked alone
Remembering immortal grace
Within, my heart turned darkest stone
Forever doomed to seek her face
How shall I hear the angels song
Unearthly tones to make me weep
Enmeshed within this mortal throng
Yet at the sound, my heart would leap
It came at last, so sweet and low
This angels voice had sung to me
In words of love, a flawless flow
I rushed into her mystery
But then I wandered, cursed, forlorn
Thus pricked in death by loves cold scorn
In misery, I walked alone
Remembering immortal grace
Within, my heart turned darkest stone
Forever doomed to seek her face
How shall I hear the angels song
Unearthly tones to make me weep
Enmeshed within this mortal throng
Yet at the sound, my heart would leap
It came at last, so sweet and low
This angels voice had sung to me
In words of love, a flawless flow
I rushed into her mystery
But then I wandered, cursed, forlorn
Thus pricked in death by loves cold scorn
