The Yearnings Of My Heart
Oh, how my heart doth yearn to see her face
This one who bringeth joy to darkest night
Within this fleshly shell, I long to hold
That angel who should fill my soul with light
If she doth come again, my spirit dark
Would brighten as the sun in all its might
Then I could worship all her comeliness
And we would shine together, blazing bright
I know that she hath wings with which to fly
Unto my side, forevermore in bliss
To carry me on wings of sweetest love
For in her arms my only worth exists
So I shall yearn until that day should come
That side by side, we sail unto the sun
Uplifted by the winds of hope and joy
And bound together now, we two as one.
