IMMORTAL NIGHT

Mysterious night,
what do you witness?
Tell me the secrets you hide.
What goes on beyond the light
within your realm of darkness,
your world where angels hide
and demons are roaming free.
Do you ever wish for the light
of day to enter into your kingdom?
Oh, dark night, what happens out there,
out there where children wander,
beneath the stars, beneath the moon
where daylight is forbidden?
Do you miss your children when the dawn wakes up?
Are you free when the sun rises
and the daylights fun begins?
Oh, immortal night, you are the bearer
of long, lost dreams.
You hold the key within your hours
to the lonely cries of the hopeless.
Nothing compares to the wisdom you possess.
Stand your ground and fight for your rights
to be king of all the nations.
Let me be your friend in your trying times
when the cries of forsaken children
echo and pierce your silent soul.
Will you let me in to your deepest dreams
that you hide behind the light?
Oh, innocent night how I love thee so.
Your courage and bravery will always live on.
Your freedom will forever ring.
Through the wind and the snow,
through the thunder and lightning,
you will always belong, come what may.
Oh, bitter night, prisoner of truth,
you will always be one with me.
