so comes the dawn,
light falls upon a new day.
slanting as it does upon these ruins of time.
bathing these horrors in an ethereal glow.

there was once a time,
perhaps a few thousand of years ago.
when I ruled these lands .
they where so divine!

the humans scurrying to and fro.
trying to escape my wrath.
as if they could hide from my fiery breath.
till the death shroud fell upon them one and all.

now I am just a bystander.
of these forgotten times.
a shadow of my former grandeur.
waiting for the time when they return to their cities.

so I may feel there fear once more.
and rule here supreme.
amidst there struggle with the inevitable.
when I will have them all again.
