Thanks Beth, glad you like it - but its not my concept. Its an old pagan legend: the Holly King and the Oak king are two facets of the same entity. At winter solstice, Oak King must kill Holly King - and then the positions are reversed at summer solstice as each of them reigns over half the year. Its really another way of affirming the turn of the year and the cycle of death and rebirth :)
