Hi, Gaer...my few thoughts on this piece:

L3 - wondering about the intent of "have you yet learned your ears". I think I get the sense of it, but at the risk of being too literal, there seems almost to be something missing in this line. I'm guessing that you were going for an alternative to "have you yet learned to hear", but it feels incomplete to me.

L4 - harboring losses - this one seems to hang out there on its own...the sea harbors losses...but you don't clarify what these losses are at any point. Is it a loss that the sea has experienced, a loss to the sea, or the loss of the person, unable to hear the voice?

Otherwise, a lovely lilting piece, that has a serene quality to it...:)
