Back!

First I have a question to ponder.

then you too would surely ponder
to purchase such a noble wonder

Maybe German grammar has deceived me to chose this construction, for there with all the proposed words the infinitive follows. What I wanted to say was:

Then you too would surely ponder
If you should purchase such a noble wonder

Would
Then you too would surely ponder
purchasing such a nobl wonder
be grammatically ok (apart from the wrong stress)?

To the different o - I cant hear it, I tried with Merriam Webster. But that was a big problem for me already in school, especially when learning French. When checking Rhyme Zone I found out that there are really no proposed rhymes for ponder/wonder.

Well, tried to find some other rhymes! Not all makes sense though.

Last night my cute cat said to me

(while sitting on my wooden desk
where I was writing a burlesque)
If you could only clearly see
the many colours of my flea
then you would surely without doubt
be charmed and rapt, you would not shout.

I looked at her with growing awe,
she smiled, then offered her left paw,
the flea - I fear it was a scout!

*sigh*
